For the first time, Audi Sport will offer a racing sports car specifically developed for customer use. According to Audi, the GT3 version of the R8 will pump out 500 horsepower, all of which will be sent through a sequential sport six-speed gearbox, exclusively to the rear wheels (GT3 regulations prohibit the use of four-wheel drive). The GT3 version of the Audi R8 which will be available from autumn 2009.

Starting next year it will be tougher for carmakers to earn a top score as regulators are planning to introduce an all-new rating system. There are still areas of safety that the EuroNCAP believes is need of improvement - namely the area of pedestrian safety. No carmaker has yet claimed a top score of four stars in pedestrian protection, with most averaging about two stars.

Renault has bare a new mid-mass luxury vehicle that revives the Safrane nameplate after an eight year without refreshing.
The classic Safrane was a quite frankly styled 5door executive saloon built from 1992 to 2000 that was replaced in the European soak by the ill-expected Vel Satis.

Although called a new Grand Vitara, from the outside it’s hard to tell, but that’s only because the Japanese company has kept the current styling due to its popularity in Europe.
Nonetheless improvements are plenty with new engines offering more power, better economy and more standard safety features.
The engine which is sure to prove popular is the all-new 2.4-litre variable valve timing (VVT) four cylinder engine which is now fitted to both 3-door and 5-door models and an all-new 3.2-litre VVT V6 for the 5-door.

There was much debate among designers and dealers on the next generation of Mazda MX-5.
Mazda new design chief, Lauren Van den Acker, is now saying that the next Mazda MX-5 has to be radical, a big step from the current model.
Initially, dealers do not want a major change in the current model because customers are satisfied with the form - and yet the design team wanted to go and offer the market something fresh and new.
